A riff on Wassily Kandinsky's 1937 biomorphic abstraction "Thirty", these studies look at the variety of forms available from combining pairs of low-frequency waveforms in slightly detuned harmonic ratios that are frequency-modulating one another. This offers an alternative language to the traditional Lissajous forms of oscillographics. Created using a vintage B&K 1470 Oscilloscope, a computer, and a DC-coupled audio interface.
