“shawné’s intense ‘DOG-WHISTLE_V2.MP4(L8NITE-SCREENER)’ is a one-minute video made in relation to her multi-channel video installation and performance space ‘DOG WHISTLE’ created in 2019. She writes, ‘This work is a way to talk about fugitive communication as site for negotiation of power, tolerance, fantasy, denial, madness.’ When you view this work, be sure to follow her advice below: headphones, in the dark, after midnight, and alone.” —Casey REAS
