Solo Exhibition
The Amsterdam-based artist couple Erwin Driessens & Maria Verstappen have worked together since 1990 to jointly develop a multifaceted oeuvre of software, machines, and objects. Within their generative art, they explore the significance of both physical and computer algorithms. Driessens & Verstappen aim for complexity and diversity in their work, and share the conviction that chance, self-organization, and evolution order and transform reality.
Driessens & Verstappen have participated in numerous international exhibitions, and their work has been acquired by collections including. Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt, and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. The duo has received awards from Telefónica in Spain and Witteveen+Bos Engineering in the Netherlands.
