Elsif is a Chinese-Canadian artist and computer scientist based in California. With a focus on experimentation in techniques and expression, she creates digital art with geometric shapes and parametric curves. Her primary tools are math, physics, and machine learning. Elsif’s unique artistic approach, influenced by both western and eastern cultures, often explores algorithmic motifs deeply rooted in natural themes. She harnesses software to automate repetitive tasks, likening the computer’s capabilities to having an atelier of infallible apprentices dedicated to realizing her artistic vision. In 2023, her artworks were exhibited online with Unit London and in Lisbon at the Non Fungible Conference.
