mole^3

mole^3 is a printmaker and visual artist who creates works using open data, images, sound, and generative art, as well as woodblock prints. She views coding as a form of printmaking and on-screen outputs as the equivalent of physical prints. In this way, her work develops an expanded understanding of printmaking. Her work has been exhibited at the Sompo Museum of Art and the NTT InterCommunication Centre [ICC] in Tokyo, as well as in collaboration with the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media [YCAM].

mole^3は、オープンデータ、画像、音、生成アート、そして木版画を用いて作品を制作する版画家およびビジュアルアーティスト。彼女は、コーディングを版画の一形態と捉え、スクリーン上の出力を物理的な版画と同義とみなしている。このように、彼女はその作品で版画制作に対する理解の拡張を試みている。東京の損保美術館やNTTインターコミュニケーション・センター[ICC]で作品が展示されているほか、山口情報芸術センター[YCAM]との共同制作も行っている。
